ProjectPix

Terms of Service

Last updated October 23, 2026

Draft for review. Some business details are still being confirmed.

These terms are the agreement between you and [ProjectPix's operating company — legal name to confirm] (“we”) for using ProjectPix. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you use ProjectPix for a company, you confirm you're allowed to agree for that company, and “you” means the company too.

1. The service

ProjectPix lets contractors take, mark up, organize and share jobsite photos, including when the phone has no signal. We keep improving it, so features may change. Some features are labeled beta and may change more or stop.

2. Accounts

  • Keep your sign-in private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • The account owner controls who joins the company account and what role they have, and can remove people.
  • Give accurate account details and keep them current.

3. Your content

  • You own your photos and job information. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display them only as needed to run ProjectPix for you, including showing them to the people and apps you choose.
  • You're responsible for what you upload and share: that you have the right to take and share the photos, that you have your customers' permission to store their details, and that you follow the privacy laws that apply to the people and property in your photos. We don't review or police photo content.
  • We don't claim ownership of your content and don't use it for advertising.

4. Fair use

Don't use ProjectPix to:

  • break the law or anyone's rights, including privacy and copyright;
  • upload anything harmful, like malware, or try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours;
  • overload, scrape, copy or reverse-engineer the service, or get around its limits;
  • resell ProjectPix without our written OK.

We may suspend accounts that do, after warning you where we reasonably can.

6. Photo records and measurements

  • Proof values: ProjectPix records when our server received each photo and a fingerprint of the untouched original. The date stamp drawn on a photo is for display only. These records help show when and where photos were taken, but we can't promise any court, insurer or agency will accept them.
  • Measurements: spoken or typed measurements, square footage, and “amount to order” are a convenience. Check them before you quote, cut or order materials. We're not responsible for wrong quantities or costs that come from them.
  • Photos on your phone: photos are saved on your phone first and upload when there's signal. Until a photo shows as synced, it exists only on that phone, and clearing the app's data or losing the phone can lose it.

7. Connected apps and AI

  • You can connect other services (AI assistants like Claude or ChatGPT, Google Drive, Dropbox, or your own software through API keys and webhooks). Their terms and privacy policies cover what they do with your data.
  • An AI assistant you connect acts with your permission and only within your role. Captions, summaries and other AI output can be wrong. Review it before you post or send it.
  • You can disconnect these apps any time in Settings.

8. Plans and fees

Paid plans, if you choose one, are billed as shown when you sign up. Plans differ by how much you can use, not by which features you get. We'll give at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of your plan. Free and beta access can change or end.

9. Ending your account

You can close your account any time, and we'll help you export your photos first. We may close or suspend an account that breaks these terms, or if we stop offering ProjectPix, with notice where we reasonably can. After an account closes, we delete its data as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. No warranties

We work hard to keep ProjectPix running and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or fit a particular purpose.

11. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, like lost profits, lost jobs or lost data. Our total liability for any claim about ProjectPix is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.

12. Claims about your content

If someone makes a claim against us because of content you uploaded or shared, or because you broke these terms, you'll cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Clark County, Washington, unless the law where you live says otherwise. Let's try to sort out any problem informally first: write to [privacy contact email to confirm].

14. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell account owners in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Using ProjectPix after that means you accept the new terms.
